HOUSE OF ALPHA (The Masterminds)
Patron – Nikola Tesla
Those in the House of Alpha are imaginative yet decisive,
ambitious yet private, and amazingly curious. They believe that with effort,
intelligence and consideration, nothing is impossible. They radiate
self-confidence and their insightful observations, original ideas and
formidable logic enable them to push change through with sheer willpower and
force of personality. They are capable of deconstructing and rebuilding every
idea and system they come into contact with, employing a sense of perfectionism.
The despise rules, limitations and traditions, believing that everything should
be open to questioning and reevaluation. They remain rational no matter how
attractive the end goal may be, and every idea, whether generated internally or
soaked in from the outside world, must pass the ruthless and ever-present “Is
this going to work?” filter. They have tendency to move through life as though
it were a giant chess board, pieces constantly shifting with consideration and
intelligence, always assessing new tactics, strategies and contingency plans,
constantly outmaneuvering their peers in order to maintain control of a
situation while maximizing their freedom to move about. They want to be able to
tackle intellectually interesting work with minimal outside interference, and
prefer to work in tight, like-minded groups. They make natural leaders, shown
by their management style, where they value innovation and effectiveness more
than just about any other quality, and they will gladly cast aside hierarchy,
protocol and even their own beliefs if they are presented with rational
arguments about why things should change.
HOUSE OF BETA (The Thinkers)
Patron – Sir Isaac Newton
Those in the House of Beta pride themselves on their
inventiveness and creativity, their unique perspective and vigorous intellect.
Usually known as the philosopher, the architect, or the dreamy professor, they
have been responsible for many scientific discoveries throughout history. They
are known for their brilliant theories and unrelenting logic. They love
patterns, and spotting discrepancies between statements could almost be
described as a hobby. They are enthusiastic and capable of spotting a problem,
drilling through the endless factors and details that encompass the issue and
developing a unique and viable solution. They aren’t interested in practical,
day-to-day activities and maintenance, but when they find an environment where
their creative genius and potential can be expressed, there is no limit to the
time and energy they will expend in developing an insightful and unbiased
solution. The one thing that really holds them back is their restless and
pervasive fear of failure. They are solitary, eccentric, independent and have
qualities such as creativity, a passion for theoretical methods and ideas, and
an entrepreneurial, innovative spirit. Their chief interest is exploring and
building models for underlying principles and ideas, even going so far as to
find these concepts, in their own way, beautiful. They are self-driven and have
very high personal standards – "good enough" is never good enough.
They are innovative, resourceful, and hard-working, easily wrapping their minds
around whatever complex problems are placed in front of them and delivering
unorthodox but effective solutions. They have a very tolerant and flexible leadership
style, characterized by an openness to logical suggestions and relative freedom
for their subordinates.
HOUSE OF GAMMA (The Debaters)
Patron – Ada Lovelace
Those in the House of Gamma are great debaters who love the
process of mental sparring, which allows them to exercise their effortlessly
quick wit, broad accumulated knowledge base, and capacity for connecting
disparate ideas to prove their points. They enjoy the mental exercise found in
questioning the prevailing mode of thought, making them irreplaceable in reworking
existing systems or shaking things up and pushing them in clever new directions.
However, they are miserable managing the day-to-day mechanics of actually
implementing their suggestions even though they love to brainstorm and think
big. They find themselves respected for their vision, confidence, knowledge,
and keen sense of humor. Their intellectual independence and free-form vision
are tremendously valuable when they’re in charge. They may find that the most
complex and rewarding intellectual challenge is to understand a more
sentimental perspective, and to argue consideration and compromise alongside
logic and progress. They are naturally engaged and interested in being
productive and helpful and are focused on developing solutions to interesting
and diverse technical and intellectual problems. They love flexing their mental
muscles, and any environment that lets them devise new approaches, new ideas
and new projects, that allows them to push the limits of their creativity. Being
excellent communicators, in the written word but especially in face-to-face
conversation, allows them to be natural leaders, showing the way forward and
inspiring others with sound logic and intellectual prowess. They value
knowledge, rational thought and insight very highly.
HOUSE OF DELTA (The Craftsmen)
Patron – Leonardo Da Vinci
Those in the House of Delta love to explore with their hands
and their eyes, touching and examining the world around them with cool
rationalism and spirited curiosity. They are natural Makers, moving from project
to project, building the useful and the superfluous for the fun of it, and
learning from their environment as they go. They find no greater joy than in
getting their hands dirty pulling things apart and putting them back together,
just a little bit better than they were before. They explore ideas through
creating, troubleshooting, trial and error and first-hand experience. They enjoy
lending a hand and sharing their experience, especially with the people they
care about. They are friendly but very private, calm but suddenly spontaneous,
extremely curious but unable to stay focused on formal studies. Their decisions
stem from a sense of practical realism, and at their heart is a strong sense of
direct fairness. They often act too soon, taking for granted their permissive
nature. They are born problem-solvers with an unwavering focus on practical
solutions (though perhaps not always solutions to practical problems). They get
fascinated by how things work, how tools can be used, and how facts can be put
together to create immediate and satisfying results. Abstract theory and purely
academic work that will never see the light of real use hold little interest
for them.

Wonder which house I'll be in! Sounds amazing!
